While the iPhone is not only a worldwide bestseller, and practically a phenomenon as well, I have never been big on buying an expensive device with an non-replaceable battery. Why? Too much life experience with batteries that fail prematurely.
Let’s face it, what cell phone still is providing good battery life after two years? With my US Cellular Motorola Razor, I simply walked into the US Cellular store with my phone containing a worn out battery and they replaced the battery for free with a new one.
How cool is that?
In five minutes I had a new battery, good for another year or two, for free.
Oh, that’s right Steve Jobs wants you to THROW AWAY YOUR iPHONE after two years and buy a brand new one.
Forgot.
Silly me.
My Motorola Droid X has an easily accessible battery that I can replace with a spare on a high usage day or replace when the battery just does not perform like new anymore. And it looks like the batteries only cost a few bucks.
Come on, Apple, why do always fall short of perfection with a flaw that is easily fixable?
