Free App of the Day on Amazon Appstore for Android

Amazon Appstore for Android is new and they are giving away one paid Android App per day for free.

Today’s app is Angry Birds Rio, which, quite frankly is a very simplistic game that I won’t waste anymore time on, but I will certainly keep an eye out for daily paid apps for free for my Android based Droid-X.

This is a pretty bid deal in my book. Considering how so many people feel that the iPhone rules the smartphone market, Amazon promoting Android apps by giving away a paid app for free shows how much the Android market is taking off and will just make Android phones all the more competitive to Apple.

I have nothing against Apple; wait, I DO have something against Apple!

• The PRICE of their devices
• The inability to replace BATTERIES on their devices
• The way they want to lock you up with iTunes
• Did I mention how much their products COST?

Sorry, tangent there.

Anyway, if you have an Android phone or perhaps a new Android tablet then make sure you add the free Amazon Appstore App and get the free paid app each day – but only if it looks like something you will use. No sense cluttering up your storage or your app page on your phone or tablet.
