One of the frustrations I have had with cell phones, besides the ones that require the awful activesync software is that cell phone video saves in a 3gp format that a Windows PC has no idea what to do with.
The cell phone manufacturers give you no clue how to convert that 3gp video to something useful, either. What’s up with that?
Well, turns out it is not only easy to do, but with this free converter software you can easily convert those 3gp format cell phone videos into a format you can use.
Even allows you to strip out the audio file if you want.
The only limitation at this point is if your new phone does HD video, you may have to buy a converter for that. The version I am using does do up to 720×540, so it’s getting better all the time.
Note: Make sure you UNCHECK the options to install their toolbars at installation.
